Suggest simplifying it to the following: "It can be difficult to get a concrete surface truly flat so there is often a Tolerance or allowable variation from perfectly flat that is specified for each concrete pad or floor area. Some surfaces like movie studio and ice arena floors are required to be very flat (high tolerance) while carpeted floors or garage floors are allowed more variation in the surface (low tolerance). Tolerances for flatness are given in millimetres per thousand millimetres (example: 2:1000) Status: Implemented
